I just read how it is important fo stimulate kids minds by having them solve puzzles, it helps to develope reasoning, logical, deduction functions in the brain. But I guess you are never too old to work on strengthening those functions. On a side note I had read that doing an hour a day of crossword or Sudoku puzzles actually burns up to 90 calories. So you are actually exercising the mind as well as the body :)

Great post & I totally agree with you, In fact I am using one of your techniques too. Like when working or traveling, I always listen to music. Specially when working, because some times long hours bores me & i cannot concentrate very well to work, So I play some of my favorite songs & I think that music is some how suites my mood. I read books in my spare time & some times writing something in my journal about my experiences or feeling. Due to busy work loads i am unable to travel much, But all of your points are really important to stay sharp for the rest of our life.
